Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Barsik Labs LTD ("Barsik Labs", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit barsiklabs.com (the "Website") or use the mobile games and apps we publish (each an "App"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
In short
- The Website does not use cookies, analytics or third-party trackers.
- Our Apps collect only the data they need to work, and each App's store listing describes it.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- You can contact us at any time to access or delete your data.
1. Who we are
Barsik Labs LTD is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17552039), with its registered office at 71-75, Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. You can contact us about privacy at noreplay@barsiklabs.com.
2. Information we collect
When you visit the Website
The Website is a simple information site. It does not use cookies, analytics tools, advertising networks, social media plugins or externally hosted fonts or scripts.
Like most web servers, our server automatically records basic technical information for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user agent string. We use these logs only to keep the Website secure and working properly, and we do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message. We use this information only to reply to you and to handle your request.
When you use our Apps
We design our Apps to collect as little personal data as possible. What an App collects depends on its features. For example, game progress and settings are normally stored only on your device. Each App's page on the Apple App Store ("App Privacy") and on Google Play ("Data safety") describes the data that App collects and why. If an App needs personal data beyond what this Policy describes, we will explain this in the App before collecting it and, where required, ask for your consent.
Some Apps may let you connect to a third-party service that you already use, for example by signing in to that service. In that case the data you exchange with the service is handled by its operator under its own privacy policy.
Information from app stores
Apps are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google process your purchases and downloads under their own privacy policies. They may share aggregated statistics with us, such as download numbers, and, if you have agreed to it in your device settings, anonymised crash reports. We do not receive your payment details.
3. How and why we use information
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we use personal data only when we have a lawful basis to do so:
- To provide our Website and Apps and the features you ask for (performance of a contract, or our legitimate interests).
- To keep our services secure, prevent abuse and fix problems (legitimate interests).
- To reply to your messages and provide support (legitimate interests).
- Where you have given consent, for the purpose you agreed to. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- To comply with the law, for example tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
4. Sharing information
We share personal data only when necessary:
- with service providers who help us run our services, such as our website hosting and email providers, who may process data only on our instructions;
- with Apple and Google, as described above, when you download or use our Apps;
- when required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
If any of these providers processes data outside the United Kingdom, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK data protection law.
5. How long we keep information
Server logs are deleted automatically after no more than 30 days. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request, and then for a reasonable period in case of follow-up questions. Data stored by an App on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the App. We keep other data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
6. Children
Our Website and Apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the Website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit the data we hold in the first place.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, email us at noreplay@barsiklabs.com. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time, for example when we release a new App or change how an existing one works. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we will also let you know in the affected App.
